The River House

The River House Sleeps a maximum of 16 people Just 15 km’s from Worcester and less than 90 minutes drive from Cape Town, you are in the heart of the Boland and home to The River House Collection, which consists of two neighbouring self-catering guest houses in a truly stunning setting, each perched on the banks of the beautiful Breede River. Both guest houses are perfectly situated for canoeing, fishing, bird-watching, golfing and wine tours or just chilling. The two guest houses can be booked separately or together and are also perfect for informal conferences and small functions. The River House, blends old farm house accents with a refined Southern African colour palette. Its spacious lounge area, inside fire-place, outside veranda and braai area offers a welcome respite after a day canoeing on the Breede. All rooms open onto a vine-covered central courtyard, with the scent of fynbos and the sound of birds reaching each room. The house comes fully furnished, has a swimming pool, pool table, wi-fi and full DSTV.

The Other House, offers a modern and contemporary look and feel, with a high-ceilinged lounge area opening up into a large veranda with an undercover braai from which you can watch the Breede River slide by. Most rooms live into and towards the central lounge and dining area. The house comes fully furnished, has a swimming pool, wi-fi and full DSTV.

The main venue can seat a maximum 330 people at tables. We can comfortably sleep 76 guests in luxury to basic self-catering accommodation on the property designed for singles, couples and families. The house is perfectly located for excursions to wine farms, game farms or golf courses of the beautiful Breede River Valley. Picturesque Kwaggaskloof Dam for water skiing enthusiasts within 5 kms.

The Pendennis Farm- Dasbos Barn

Pendennis was established in 1875 and the Cape Dutch farmhouse was built shortly afterwards. Today on 42 hectares grapes (Pinotage, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon), apples and olives are grown. Sheep, cows and two horses spend their days happily grazing in a picturesque setting. The farm just over 100 kilometers from Cape Town close to the village Villiersdorp, known as the Pearl of the Overberg, in the breathtaking beautiful valley Bossieveld. The Farm is proud to provide a selection of newly renovated accommodation options on the estate, in the form of a delightful Victorian farm house The Pink Lady, a Karoo farm house Granny Smith's House and a glam Teepee Town complete with its own authentic fire-pit. All accommodation is available for bookings via AirBnb. The dam (just a stone through away from the guest houses and the tents) has even a little beach. Pendennis provides guests with a unique and authentic South African farm experience, one they will cherish long after leaving the valley.

“feel rejuvenated and refreshed” Audrey’s Vineyard Cottage & Homestead is an ideal venue for groups or families wanting to spend quality time together …and leave rejuvenated & refreshed! The original Victorian Homestead is used for groups as it has 5 bedrooms and can sleep 10 adults. The Cottage also works well for smaller groups as it has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 6-8 people. Both are self-catering but Continental breakfasts are available by prior arrangement. A minimum stay of 2 nights is required
