Monks Distillery

South Africa’s first off-grid gin distillery located on the banks of the Breede River at the foot of Bains Kloof pass. Surrounded by mountains, vineyards and blueberry tunnels, our tasting room is one of the most beautiful places to relax, meet the monks and take in the view.

Home to a range of endemic botanicals and fed by-crystal clear mountain water, the farm is where the alchemy of gin happens. It is here where the masters of their craft turn simple into sublime and base into bliss. It’s an obsession that has seen Monks gins being praised and awarded both locally and internationally and means that every sip is a taste of the truly miraculous.

Our Tasting Room is open from 08h00 – 17h00 Monday to Friday and between 11h30 and 18h00 on Saturdays.
