Leipzig Country House & Winery

We are a 21-bedroom guesthouse, venue & boutique winery nestled in the Nuy Valley at the start of the exquisite Route 62, between Worcester and Robertson in the Breede Valley, Western Cape, South Africa.

This family-owned farm has German heritage, as our 1^st descendant came to South Africa from the German City of Leipzig in 1723 and eventually settled in our beautiful valley and started farming here.  Today, we as 9^th generation descendants of Johannes Christiaan are passionate about the history of the farm, hospitality and making exquisite boutique style wines, a passion we love to share with our guests and visitors.

Conferences:
Conferences, meetings, events and seminars in an inspiring setting – Leipzig is the perfect self-drive option within 2 hours of the Mother City. We offer business professionals the choice of 3 upmarket conference and meeting venues with multimedia equipment and quality amenities. These venues can accommodate small teams of 10 people or larger groups of up to 130 people for conferences and events. Our dedication to bespoke service makes all the difference.

Weddings:
We love weddings. We love that you get to say I do in the most sublime setting. We also love that we become part of your story and you a part of ours. The beauty of the Leipzig Estate is that it’s all here for you, no need to bring anything in and no need to go anywhere else. Our historic wine cellar can seat up to 130 people with a dance floor. The tranquil garden with towering Oaks in front of the Manor House or the century-old chapel can be used for a romantic ceremony, and a Bedouin tent is also available for cocktails and canapés before a formal reception.  We offer accommodation for up to 46 guests on the estate and also have a boutique winery on the farm. The endless vistas, surrounding vineyards, rolling lawns of the amphitheater and rural charm of the historic buildings provide a stunning canvas to capture lasting

Guest House:
Our rooms are surrounded by vineyards, mountains and pristine gardens for those wanting a scenic respite from the city. We’ve also got simple luxuries to make your stay very comfortable – our 17 luxury double en-suite rooms and Honeymoon Suite have writing desks, air conditioning, heating, seating, Wi-Fi and free internet access.

For those wanting that do it yourself in the country feel, the self-catering unit contains 3 double rooms, 3 bathrooms, indoor and outdoor braai, air conditioning, a lounge, fully equipped kitchen and a stoep with a scenic views of the vineyards. This unit is also pet friendly.

As night falls, dine in the 1893 wine cellar, sip on wines we’ve painstakingly perfected and produced and make lasting memories with good people, good food, in a GREAT setting.

In the morning, indulge in a delicious farm-style breakfast, included in our rate. Then hit the single-track on mountain bikes, wine tasting, take a dip in the pool or visit the tortoise garden.
