Tour with Julia
Originally from Ukraine, I came to South Africa for the first time almost two decades ago and simply fell in love with the beauty of this country.
Starting my journey here just as a tourist myself, I since moved to South Africa permanently. Remarkably, after all these years South African nature, people, food, wines, history and, you name it, still keep exciting me every single day. So, eventually, I decided to become a tour guide and help foreign and local tourists to learn more about South Africa and, maybe, try to see this country through my eyes. So, if you are interested in exploring, sightseeing, teasing your taste buds with the local wines and cuisine, or experiencing South African safari, you are at the right place.
If you are looking for a personal touch for your stay and your activities, I am here for you!
And though, of course, it is worthwhile to see the popular tourist attractions, I love taking people to real hidden gems, that are sometimes overlooked. So, come, and let me show you around! I can create a custom itinerary, just tell me what your interests are and leave the rest to me.
If you have already done some research and know exactly what you want to see and which places to visit, I can help you put an itinerary together for your convenience, organize transportation and whatever else is needed for you to relax and enjoy the experience.

There are plenty of excellent wine cellars in South Africa, especially in Western Cape. You can pick which ones you would like to visit, or I can take you to my favorite ones if you wish. They don’t just have good wine, but stories of how it was created and how the previous generations of wine makers came to South Africa in first place, and it all began! You can have a piece of colorful history with every glass in addition to snack platters. You can even try and create your own blend if you wish! How much fun that would be!
Have you had enough of wine already? Let me take you out for some gin tasting! There are quite a few gin distilleries with award winning gin that is exported to and appreciated in many countries of the world. Believe me, you won’t be disappointed!
Beer and cider tastings can be just as much fun for the ones that are looking to try something different.
One of my favorite things to do is trying traditional cuisine of different countries. And as nice as it is to eat out at restaurants, the best way to try local foods is to eat with locals. South African cuisine is very diverse, just like the country itself. It has a deep connection to the history of the people. So why not to have a perfectly prepared traditional South African meal in the middle of vineyards on a local farm in Hex River Valley?
You can try a variety of “potjiekos”, braai meats, roosterkoek, braaibroodjies and many more other dishes, accompanied by local South African wines and other drinks of your choice.
All the products used for preparing the dishes are locally sourced.
